As I’ve mentioned before, Salamanca is famous
for its various types of meat, especially its jamón.
It would be easy to figure this out just by wandering around the city: there
are dozens and dozens of little stores specializing in ham, sausage, and other
types of cured meat. It’s not uncommon to find two of these stores on the same
block. I began taking photos of these stores as we wandered about but stopped
after taking over thirty photos. I’ve included a small sampling below.
