JR: the very friendly guard (really!) who guards the BCC entrance and greets us every day |
On our walk home today, the BCC main guard called us
over for free ice cream. The tradition
here is to give away gifts to others on one’s birthday. It is the birthday of one of the BCC board
members and she had rented out a local restaurant’s soft-serve machine and
everyone in the neighborhood was eating ice cream.
